LBS 2008 Symposium

And while we’re at it: call for papers is also out for the 5th International Symposium on LBS & TeleCartography (LBS 2008), held in Salzburg, Austria in November. Excellent event with a growing community around it. This year the Symposium is extending: held at a one-year interval instead of the two-year intervals of the previous events; and there’s also an “extended abstracts” category and a demo track for the first time.

BTW: Most of the photos in my Picasa Web Album from Hong Kong (also see the left sidebar) are actually from last year’s LBS Symposium (LBS 2007). It’s just the tourist pictures, though. None from the conference. And none from that crazy night out in that Vodka bar in Lan Kwai Fong, either. But I suppose those would not interest you anyway
